The development of the Coca-Cola company began in the last century. The history of the world's most famous refreshment drink began on the Atlanta pharmacist John Pemberton's backyard. On May 8, 1886 he made syrup in a tripod pot, which he took in a jug to Jacobs, the largest pharmacy in the city. On the same day, the first portions of syrup, at five cents per glass, were sold to visitors. Soon, the sellers at Jacobs began mixing syrup with sparkling water, and that's how the Coca-Cola drink appeared.
